EPISODE 27

Missed tonight's episode as too sick to concentrate. But did manage to see a few good scenes;

- Yu Fei rises to power again as her daughter finally died and she took her daughter to the emperor, really cried and the emperor felt so sad he gave Y Fei back her status. Yu Fei told Hung Mo she did that deliberately to make the emperor know how it feels and to make him feel guilty enough to give her back her power, so that she can fight with the empress again. Hung Mo was very cold towards her, but I missed what was it that made him feel so cold towards her.

- Bak Yeung misses Yuk Ying

- Fook Nga knows Yee Soon is her sister but does not plan to tell Yee Soon the truth

- Empress asks Senior Suen to abort Yee Soon's unborn child but Senior Suen refuses and instead said "Perhaps my lady should do more good deeds so that my lady would feel better about herself, after all such actions my lady wishes me to do are merely temporary relief".

We will find out later Senior Suen dies I think from what I could see from the ads.

Anyone can fill in the blanks for me?

What you missed:

Yuk Ying became pregnant with Doctor Suen's child. She asked Dr Suen to modify her date of pregnancy to a month earlier so as to pass off the baby as the emperor's. In the process, she more or less confessed she slept with Dr Suen for the very purpose of getting pregnant. "You got what you want (sleeping with her) and I got what I want (getting pregnant), so all's well ends well" <-- roughly what Yuk Ying told Dr Suen Jr. The latter was very hurt but had to lie for her as otherwise all 3 of them (incl the baby) would die.

Hung Mo was cold to Yu Fei because now that she has regained her power, there're more people surrounding here, so their relationship became more impersonal. That's what he told her when she confronted him for being cold to her. And to prove that she (Yu Fei) still treats him sincerely as friend, she asked Hung Mo to accompany her around the palace to send her baby's soul off. And Hung Mo was there...holding her hand...telling her not to be afraid ("I was her mother, I'm not afraid of her ghost")...

Yee Shun has lost all purpose in life after her godfather died. But Fook Nga told her she has someone important to live for ...her baby. Fook Nga did not confess to their relationship because she feels that, as it is, the two of them are already as close as sisters, so knowing the final detail does not make a difference. Plus by confessing their relationship, Yee Shun would know that their Godfather was a bad guy all along, and this fact would devastate her.

Onn Sin is trying to catch the Empress in the act of poisoning any of the pregnant concubines...she knows this will happen as rumour has it, the empress will always act when any concubine got pregnant in the past.

Oh thanks a lot! I missed a lot! But a few questions;

1. how fook nga knew about Yee Soon being her sister? Through the letter by Eunuch Tsui? Did she then ever want to commit suicide like what Tsui hoped for?

2. Is Hung Mo in love with Yu Fei? Or is he still in love with Onn Sin?

3. How come Yuk Ying deliberately sleep with Bak Yeung to get pregnant? Did she seriously thought she could get away with it or maybe she didn't know she would get pregnant but she said what she said to hurt Bak Yeung?

4. Is Yuk Ying ever in love with Bak Yeung at all? I mean what was all those locking herself in the room for? Show only?

Oh.....u missed the scene where Yu Fei sent her baby's soul off. You miss the best scene ever. It was nicely done, not crying...but lots of love. You'll feel for her.

1. how fook nga knew about Yee Soon being her sister? Through the letter by Eunuch Tsui? Did she then ever want to commit suicide like what Tsui hoped for?

A: She received the letter and asked the truth from Mdm Lau. Madam Lau sold all Eunuch Tsui properties and gave a large portion to Fook Nga (so that the sisters could be powerful figures in the palace). She didn't kill herself as hoped by Eunuch Tsui.

2. Is Hung Mo in love with Yu Fei? Or is he still in love with Onn Sin?
Onn Sin

3. How come Yuk Ying deliberately sleep with Bak Yeung to get pregnant? Did she seriously thought she could get away with it or maybe she didn't know she would get pregnant but she said what she said to hurt Bak Yeung?
No one really knows. But she didn't say that to hurt him. IMO, she meant every single word. Hate this character.

4. Is Yuk Ying ever in love with Bak Yeung at all? I mean what was all those locking herself in the room for? Show only?
Yes, she love him but not as much as she loves her own ambition. Actually, I felt there was some inconsistencies in showing her love for her mother which fuelled her ambition. It's more due to her own lust for power and glory.

Sorry about the third question.

What I meant was she was truthful to Bak Yeung when she revealed to him abt her pregnancy. She threatened him with the baby so that he will change the pregnancy record.

She probably doesn't think of getting pregnant before sleeping with him but after the 'deed', she must have figured this plan.

2. Hung Mo loves On Sin, but he starting to have a strong connection to Yu Fei. It's like she was there when he was most unhappy and now they share something very special (you must see the ending to feel it).

3. I think YY didn't plan to sleep with BY for the baby. I think she loved him at the time of the act, but did think about a scheme to regain power afterwards when she was combing her hair.

Gees, I mean, you really can't do much planning when suddenly Fook Nga tells you to wait in her room woithout a reason and then Suen Bak Yeung comes in.

But as I said before, YY is kind of brainless, and over-estimates her power. Yes, she does think by using emotional blackmail to make SBY change the date of conception, she could get away with it.

However, she doesn't stop to think what if another doctor takes over the pulse-taking? What about changing the menstrual cycle records? What if it is a girl? She doesn't even think that it might not survive since we have a very clever and evil Empress here!

I think she tries to hurt to him to keep him away so she will be feel more easy to go ahead and use her child. And also to keep her control over him, and not him over her.

Somehow, I am very pissed off at On Sin for her plan. I don't get why she thinks she alone would do better than YY and her ganged up. At least YY has no conscience problems in sleeping with the Emperor and going all evil, where as On Sin is always restricted by her morals and emotions.

Considering the bondage bewteen the two girls at the time, I think YY could have helped OS anyway if she knew, rather than have OS suddenly break off her friendship for no reason (YY never knew why) and kil off HM's heart.

Its not like OS is hurting the Empress now or anything. She's just enhancing the Empress's plan of creating more battles in the lower-ranked concubines to ensure no one rises to power.

I would have thought OS to be more wise and rational to take into account that she is helping the Empress more than harming her.
